A new Chevron Tank (and freezing temps!)
I have a confession to make: I’m not doing very well at coordinating my fit Capsule. Sure, I’ve made about 8 pieces of clothing for the Capsule at this point, but with the exception of the matching bra/leggings sets, nothing coordinates with each other!
I swear that after today, I’ll try to concentrate on adding some more neutral pieces to pull it all together….but for now, here’s my newest creation- the Greenstyle Lille tank!
The Lille has been a staple in my athletic drawer(s) for years, but always with modifications to lower the arm scythe and the neckline. Now, the Lille has been updated to add layers and incorporate most of the fitting changes I made on my own, which is good news, since I’m always loosing my pattern pieces and this way I don’t have to worry about losing all my modifications if I need to re-print.
I tested out the newly updated Lille in this chevron fabric from So Sew English- I knew it didn’t match anything in my athletic wardrobe, but I really wanted to use it anyway. I initially bought this fabric as part of a bundle planning to use it for leggings, but when it arrived it had less vertical stretch than I needed for the Inspires, so I repurposed it into a a Lille tank instead.
I really love the look (and feel!) of it, so I’ve decided to try to get back on track with the “planning” part of my capsule, but incorporating some matching pieces. The bundle I purchased came with a textured double-knit in pink, and I also ordered some white supplex, so I’m thinking maybe some white Super G’s and a matching vest or jacket?
What do you think? I’d love to find a way to use the leftover print for an accent somehow as well- please drop me a suggestion below!

Side note: We shot all of these photos indoors. If you’re familiar with my blog, you’ll know that this is not the norm for me, nor is it in our comfort zone to do so. I actually find indoor lighting harder to handle than natural, outdoor light, but the weather and scheduling made that opportunity impossible, so we shot these in the bedroom. I was really concerned about how they’d turn out, but I was really impressed with them, which makes me curious- do you feel more inspired by indoor or outdoor shots, or does it matter to you?

I love the back of this top. It says that this pattern has a higher neckline, but I do not see any pictures of a higher neckline.
I like your outside pictures, but your white shower curtains is working with your navy top.

What colour is it? looks black, maybe dark blue. I’m surprised you don’t have anything to go with it. I personally think white leggings would look amazing with it!!
How does this racerback compare to other designers? is it worth buying? I mean, a racerback is a racerback isn’t it?

How about a hoodie in the pink with the chevron print as a hood liner? Then make the cuffs and bottom band (and/or panels depending which hoodie pattern you choose) in white. Add white pants and voila, the hoodie ties in both the pants and top!
Your capsule pieces are awesome and I’m enjoying your blog! I have no preference on indoor or outdoor photos, I’m focused on the clothes! The only issue with the lighting in these photos might be that the chevron print looks black – but it might be that way in person too, which would mean no issues with your photo lighting!

I totally agree- it would have looked truer in color outdoors. We still have some learning to do about indoor photography, but its fun to stretch our skills a bit. Thank you for your suggestions!
This is such a cute top! Makes me think maybe I should start dreaming of summer clothes although it’s a long ways off yet. These are great photos (like wow! Great!) but your outside pics are always super fun. I think both work for what you do!

Love you’re Lille and really all your makes! You’re information is very helpful and helps us fashion makers do a better job. One question, does this pattern come with an AO file? It’s not mentioned on the website.
