Raglan Sew-Along: Day 1
Welcome to the Raglan Sew-Along!
This week we will be sewing up our raglans! For this sewalong, I’ll be using the Centerfield Raglan and Add-on Pack, and the Men’s Hudson Pullover, both from Greenstyle. I highly recommend trying both these patterns, but if you’ve already exhausted your pattern budget for the month, you’re welcome to follow along with any raglan, since they all have similar construction.
There will be an awesome prize for a lucky winner that sews one of the Greenstyle patterns and posts it in the group though…. #justsayin’
If you’re new to Sew-Alongs, here’s how they work:
I will be breaking the pattern steps into daily tasks, with one each day for the next 5 days. You can comment here, with questions, or on the daily posts inside the Facebook Group– I’d love to see your progress each day!
Grab your pattern!
The Raglan patterns and add-on packs are on sale until tomorrow for this event, no code needed!

Today’s Tasks: Supplies, Sizing and Cutting
Today we are selecting our size, gathering our supplies and cutting our fabric!
Check out the video below for the details:
Sometimes I get stuck at the planning stage, because I can’t decide on which fabric/options to cut! If that’s you, I’ve put together a Pinterest board with some inspiration. There are sooo many things you can add to your raglan to make it unique- arm stripes, woven or leather patches, extra topstitching… the list is endless!
Raglans also make great pajamas for family holiday photos!
This is the men’s Hudson I made last year- he loves it and wears it regularly! (Blogged here)
I’ve made two centerfields- blogged here and here. They’re in regular rotation in my wardrobe, and make a great athletic or casual garment.
Thanks for sewing along- see you back here tomorrow!
