I’ll be the cliche…

Despite owning and making every Greenstyle leggings pattern out there, I’ve yet to make my own yoga pants. After I took my favorite pair out of the dryer the other day, I decided that needed to change- they were getting threadbare from repeated wash and wear, and were no longer presentable in public.

Fortunately, Greenstyle has an awesome yoga pant pattern available already, so there was no need for any hacking- and since the draft is based on the other leggings patterns I already know and love, I knew exactly which adjustments I would need to make for my body to achieve the perfect fit.

Thirty minutes later (no kidding!) I had a brand new (and quite presentable!) pair of yoga pants that rivaled anything I’ve ever purchased from the Gap, in the softest Knitpop denim print yoga knit ever invented. The fabric is perfect for these pants- it has enough thickness to eliminate most panty lines (#realtalk) but has a really nice drape as well.

Since they’re a denim print, I’m going to go ahead and give myself permission to wear them to any event in which jeans would also be presentable….which is pretty much my entire life, so…

In case you haven’t fully embraced the yoga pants mom trend yet, here’s a little video that explains why I’m a die-hard fan. That scene with the light sabers and the mac n cheese? It could have been lifted straight out of my life.

Sometimes the simplest makes are the ones that get the most use, and I’m confident that will be the case with these yoga pants!

What about you? Do you empathize with anything in the video? What’s your favorite comfy-pants pattern?

In case you also need a new pair of comfy pants, all Greenstyle patterns are on sale for 30% off through Wednesday (aff link).

Hi Sarah, How do these compare to the Portlander Pants? Thanks!

I think they are more fitted through the thighs, at least on me, and the flare on the yoga pants is really only at the bottom, whereas after the hip, the portlanders are pretty straight down. Hope that helps!

I am laughing so hard! I am rock my yoga pants all the time. All I wore when my girls were little. Thanks for the post. I’ll have to check this pattern out.

I’m glad I could give you a little comic relief- and that I’m not the only one who loves the yoga pants!
