Raglan Sew-Along: Day 3

Welcome back to the Raglan SewAlong!

Yesterday we sewed up our sleeve and side seams, and added any front details (ie pockets). Today we are going to dive into finishing the necklines of our tops.

You have three basic choices here: Neckband, hood or cowl (women’s only). I’m demonstrating all three in the video, PLUS I have an extra video that covers installing the front zipper on the Hudson (though this is a detail you could easily add to the Centerfield if you’re feeling adventurous!)

I’m also really enjoying seeing your tops as they come together- so keep posting your progress photos in the Facebook Group! If you’re reaching this Sew Along after it’s ended, you can always tag me or post on my Facebook Page– I love seeing these year round!

Hey Sarah! How do you attach the twill tape? Do you have a tutorial on that? Also, I’ve never heard to measure at the seam allowance line when making custom neck and sizes, can you elaborate on why I would do that? Thanks!!!

Sorry I’m replying to this so late! I do the twill tape by sewing over it with my regular machine, after using wonder tape to hold it down. You want to make sure to measure at the seam line because its usually longer than the cut edge (think about running on the outside vs inside of the track). Hope that helps!
