It’s all about the hemlines, baby!

I’m still on a fall florals kick, and I love it when a test comes along that gives me a chance to sew them up, rather than letting them languish in my stash! The new Mama Adelyn pattern was perfect for this large scale double brushed poly from Pretty Posh Prints, and I was especially excited to test it because it was the first pattern designed by my dear virtual sewing friend, Jennifer Jeremiah.

If you think sewing all these garments and being a mom at the same time is impressive, you should try designing- Jennifer worked her socks off getting this pattern just right and into the hands of all the Petite Stitchery and Co fans! She did an amazing job, and I’m thrilled with my new dress- the hemline is just enough to set it apart, and the fit at the bust and arms is perfection. As a bonus, it’s nursing friendly (would I ever sew something that’s not?)

Although I didn’t get a chance to sew a matching version for Princess, there is also a baby version that is being released, and an older girls version already available here, so all the women in the family can be decked out in matching dresses for the holidays!

This dress does remind me though…I’m in desperate need of a few new pair(s) of fall boots! Which are your favorite brands, and what do you think goes best with these types of tunics? I love sewing clothes, but when it comes to shoes, I’m clueless!

Check out the pattern here, and give Jennifer a virtual high five for knocking it out of the park on her first pattern!

Love to see all the new patterns that are coming out? Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook and Instagram so I can share them with you!
